Endodontics, also known as root canal therapy, is the dental specialty which involves the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of oral pain and disease that originate from within the tooth. Root canal therapy involves the removal of diseased tissue, the repair of root structures, and the retreatment of teeth previously endodontically treated.
Dr. Hamburg, Dr. Rapp are dental specialists who have accredited educational training and expertise in these procedures, and have limited their practice to providing endodontic therapy. Dr. Hamburg has been the the staff endodontist at The CHEO Dental Clinic for almost twenty years. Dr. Rapp devotes a portion of his practice to treat patients with challenging treatment requirements at The Civic Hospital Dental Clinic and has been a part of their team since 1994.
Our practice is dedicated to the delivery of specialized dental care in the most courteous, professional and comfortable manner possible. For patients who have a certain degree of anxiety about their treatment, intravenous sedation is available and is administered by a certified anesthesiologist.
